Role overview and responsibilities

Dhruva Space is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team and drive our ambitious projects to success. As a full-stack space engineering company, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and exploration, with a portfolio consisting of complex technical projects across various aspects of space engineering. The Project Manager will oversee and manage these intricate projects, requiring strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Establish project timelines and milestones, ensuring alignment with overall portfolio goals.
  • Identify resource requirements and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  • Monitor project expenses and implement cost-control measures.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, production, procurement, legal) to remove obstacles and ensure project progress.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve project issues and conflicts promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct project evaluations and implement improvements based on feedback.

Candidate requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Masters in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments) certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience (including minimum 2 years in project management), preferably in the space engineering or aerospace industry.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMBOK, Agile).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
  • Willingness to relocate to Hyderabad and work from the office.
  • Experience with space engineering projects and familiarity with industry standards.
  • Knowledge of resource management and budgeting principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
