HYDERABAD, TS, INDIA (MARCH 28, 2022) Dhruva Space Private Limited’s Industry-Academia collaborative framework continues to build on the momentum of 2022 through the establishment of a standalone Space Technology centre at Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST) in Ghatkesar, Hyderabad. This partnership, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, will help SNIST researchers and engineers design and launch the institute's first LEO CubeSat satellite which is slated for launch by the end of 2022.

According to Abhijit Rao Katikaneni, CEO, Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology, this Space Technology Centre aims to promote study in Space Science and develop customized payloads in the future by applying hyper-spectral imaging techniques, which will be useful in several use cases including agriculture, natural calamity prediction, water resource monitoring, deforestation, container movement, and other varied applications.
