Dhruva Space partners with SRM's Aaruush for Aerospanza Challenge 2022

Saturday 13 August, 2022, (Hyderabad, TS, INDIA) Dhruva Space continues to contribute to the collegiate excitement around all things Space, by partnering with Aaruush for the upcoming Aerospanza Challenge.

Aerospanza is Aaruush’s official Aerospace Innovation Hackathon where leading companies from the aerospace industry will be providing problem statements for the incoming participants, as partners. The partner companies will also decide upon the winning solution. This year, Dhruva Space has partnered with Aaruush. Chief Technology Officer and co-founder Abhay Egoor and Principal Engineer - Hardware Dr Mayuresh Sarpotdar will be judging the Challenge.

Observing the collaboration, Sanjay Nekkanti, Chief Executive Officer, comments, “As a proud alumnus of SRM Institute of Science & Technology, I look back on my student years with a lot of pride – so naturally, I am thrilled to see the Institute’s continued and evolving support to Space engineering students. Abhay Egoor looks forward to seeing what the competition will bring. He says, “I look forward to a spirited Aerospanza and what the participating students will bring to the table. I hope to see creative, functional and practical solutions to the challenges, as well as an overall atmosphere of excitement and camaraderie.”

The Challenge will kick off on 20 August with a preliminary round and will follow through with several phases until the final presentation on 6 September. The winners will avail internships at Dhruva Space.

Inaugurated in 2007, Aaruush is the student-run, official Annual Techno-Management Fest of SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai. It comprises 14 domains, which provide a platform to showcase and innovate a multitude of ideas which range from architecture to medical sciences, entrepreneurship to robotics, and game development to aeromodelling.

The organization puts together several workshops, expos, conferences, luminary hours and non-profit initiatives to facilitate the general progress of human society with a footfall of 72,000 and online following of more than 60,000.
