Dhruva Space awarded with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Telecom Skill Excellence Award 2022 by Government of India

Monday 27 March 2023 (NEW DELHI, IN) Hyderabad-based Dhruva Space Private Limited, has been announced as one of the winners of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Telecom Skill Excellence Awards, instituted by the Ministry of Communications, Government of India.

The Awards Ceremony was held on 27 March 2023 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, during the First International Quantum Conclave. The PDUT Award was felicitated to Dhruva Space by Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, IAS, Honourable Minister of Railways, Communications and Electronics & Information Technology in Government of India.

Dhruva Space indigenously develops satellite platforms up to 300 kg with multi-payload configurations, widening the company’s scope to work with any payload. Additionally, the company also manufactures separation systems for satellites, and, to round off its full-stack services, also designs and develops Earth Stations for the tracking and operation of satellites in orbit. In November 2022, Dhruva Space successfully deployed two amateur communication satellites Thybolt-1 and Thybolt-2 onboard ISRO’s PSLV-C54 to demonstrate the company’s Space-as-a-Service offering.

The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Telecom (PDUT) Skill Excellence Awards have been instituted by the Ministry of Communications, Government of India. The Award scheme aims to encourage, stimulate, and inspire India’s Telecom Skill ecosystem by rewarding the successful telecom-skilled people and institutions annually for their exemplary and outstanding contributions in the areas of Telecom Skilling, Telecom Services, Telecom Manufacturing, Telecom Applications in deploying telecom dependent sectoral solutions for different fields such as agriculture, commerce, health, education, and more. In 2022, the Award is given to five winners, one of which is Dhruva Space, for "work in Satellite communication field," as mentioned in an official release from Press Information Bureau, Ministry of Communications.
