Role overview
Dhruva Space is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Electronics Engineer to lead the Assembly, Integration, and Testing of spacecraft electronics systems. This role is central to the electrical integration of satellites, ensuring subsystem compatibility, harness validation, power and data interface verification, and overseeing end-to-end electrical test campaigns. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure mission readiness and quality assurance, with strong emphasis on space-grade reliability and international standards compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead electrical/electronic integration of spacecraft subsystems including EPS, avionics, communication, and payload modules.
- Perform harness validation, continuity checks, grounding/shielding verification, and EMC compliance assessments.
- Develop, review, and execute electrical test plans and procedures using Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) and advanced instrumentation.
- Support functional, performance, and environmental test campaigns such as TVAC, vibration, and EMI/EMC qualification tests.
- Conduct interface definition and validation between onboard subsystems and external ground/launch vehicle systems.
- Troubleshoot anomalies, perform data analysis, and implement corrective actions with detailed documentation.
- Ensure compliance with space standards (ISRO/ECSS/MIL) and best practices for electrical harnessing, connectors, and space hardware.
- Oversee configuration control, safety protocols, and quality assurance compliance during AIT activities.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices across the team.
- Prepare technical reports, integration procedures, test logs, and verification matrices with full traceability.
- Participate in launch campaign activities and collaborate with launch providers on spacecraft-to-launch vehicle electrical interfaces.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Avionics Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in satellite electrical/electronics AIT, with emphasis on integration and testing.
- Proven familiarity with ISRO, ECSS, or MIL standards, space-qualified connectors, cabling, and harness design best practices.
- Strong expertise in EGSE operations and test instrumentation including power analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Demonstrated ability in functional/electrical troubleshooting, anomaly resolution, and test data analysis.
- Strong documentation, problem-solving, and leadership skills with experience supervising AIT teams.
- Understanding of satellite testing environments, cleanroom protocols, and launch campaign practices.
