PA-1

Polar Access-1

Polar Access by Dhruva Space is designed to provide structured, repeatable access to Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSO).

Polar Access-1 (PA-1), the first edition of this programme, delivers a coordinated and Space-qualified stack of 4 satellites, 5 separation systems and multiple operational Ground Stations, for 10 Space missions serving 6 Indian States and 2 Nations. PA-1 comprises indigenously manufactured satellite platforms and subsystems, launch vehicle integration, separation systems, ground station infrastructure, and Ground-Station-as-a-Service (GSaaS), for which Dhruva Space received authorisation from IN-SPACe, Government of India, in 2024.

Collectively, these missions support disaster communication, environmental monitoring, education, and commercial Earth Observation, with downstream impact across public institutions and emerging Space Tech users.

PA-1 is scheduled for launch at 10:17 am IST on Monday, 12 January 2026 from the First Launch Pad (FLP) at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), Sriharikota.

Polar Access-1 Mission Manifest

DSOD-1U

MUNALSAT by Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) and Antarikchya Pratishan Nepal (APN) , Nepal

MUNALSAT is an indigenous Earth observation satellite developed by the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) and Antarikchya Pratishan Nepal (APN), and enabled for launch through NewSpace India Limited. The mission focuses on vegetation density mapping for environmental monitoring and research. Dhruva Space supported launch vehicle integration and satellite deployment via DSOD-1U.

LACHIT-1 by Assam Don Bosco University, Assam

LACHIT-1 marks the first satellite mission from Assam and the Northeast, demonstrating store-and-forward messaging from orbit. Dhruva Space provided the  P-DoT platform, DSOD-1U deployment, and on-campus VHF/UHF ground station support.

Ground-Station-as-a-Service (GSaaS)

AAYULSAT by OrbitAID, Tamil Nadu

AAYULSAT is a technology demonstration mission showcasing OrbitAID’s patented Standard Interface for Docking and Refuelling Port (SIDRP) for on-orbit satellite refuelling. Dhruva Space is supporting the mission through GSaaS, including telemetry, tracking, command, and payload data downlink.

DSOD-1U

SANSKARSAT by CubeSat Aerospace, Gujarat

SANSKARSAT is a 1U technology-demonstration satellite developed for Laxman Gyanpith School by Ahmedabad-based CubeSat Aerospace, featuring an LED payload simulating an ‘artificial star’ visible from Ahmedabad. Dhruva Space provided launch vehicle integration for deployment using DSOD-1U.
